Sautéed Spinach
This is a great vegetable side dish. Some recipes call for a lot of added garlic and red pepper flakes. We like the mild flavor of a very simple sauté. There are practically no carbs in spinach so eat away!
Ingredients
- Serves 1 – 2
- 8 cups (110 gr) fresh spinach 2 CHO
- 1 garlic clove peeled 0 CHO
- 1 TBSP olive oil 0 CHO
TOTAL CHO 2 CHO
Instructions
- Add oil to medium/large frying pan. Toss in whole garlic clove and heat. Add spinach and stir with tongs until wilted to the degree you prefer.
- Remove garlic clove and serve with salt and pepper on the side.
A sprinkle of pine nuts to garnish has literally no CHO
