Grilled Pork Ribs with Seasoning Salt

On many occasions we cook pork ribs in the oven with seasoning salt. When you don’t want turn on the oven, grilling the ribs requires a different method so the ribs remain tender.

Grilled Pork Ribs with Seasoning Salt

Baby Back ribs are more tender and leaner than Spare ribs which are larger and meatier.

Baby Back are shorter than Spare ribs; hence the name.

Both require low, slow cooking or grilling to become nice and tender.

There are no Carbs until the sides come to the table.

Ingredients

  • *1 rack Baby back pork ribs
  • 1 tsp. seasoning salt

Instructions

  1. Pre heat oven to 175.
  2. Cut ribs in half if required to fit in a roasting pan.
  3. Sprinkle seasoning salt on the meat side of the ribs and let rest 10 minutes.
  4. Place ribs meat side down in the roasting pan and add enough water to cover the bottom up to ½ inch.
  5. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil and cook 1 hour.
  6. Remove ribs from roaster.
  7. Grill or roast at 400 for 10 minutes.
  8. If using Spare ribs increase roasting time by 30 minutes.
  9. Serve with any sides you wish. Some of our favourites include French Fries, Stuffed Potatoes, Potato Skins, Coleslaw, or Saffron Rice.
