Mexico’s most popular street food are Taco’s.  Making your own is so easy; spice them up or keep them child friendly.

Taco Seasoning

There are so many variations of taco seasoning; this is one of our favourites as a base for Tacos and Mexican Black Bean Chili. Of course, you can up the heat to suit yourself or tone it down for children.

There are No CHO here until you add the toppings and shells!

Ingredients

  • 1 TBSP Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp. Paprika
  • ½ tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ TBSP Cumin
  • ¾ tsp. Salt
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • ¾ cup beef stock or water

Instructions

  1. Mix spices while browning hamburger over medium heat.

  2. Once hamburger is cooked, drain, return to sauce pan and add spices along with stock.

  3. Bring to a boil, uncoverd, reduce heat and simmer until liquid evaporates and taco mixture has thickened.
