Pepperoncini Tuna

There are so many ways to make a tuna sandwich! Very light on mayonnaise and full of flavour with Pickled Pepperoncini Peppers. Pepperoncini Peppers originated in Greece and Italy, and quickly became favourites in North America.

There are 2.5 CHO in the tuna, (Pepperoncini and celery). The rest comes from your bread product.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (184 gr) Ocean’s Solid White Tuna
  • ¼ cup (51 gr) Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup (27 gr) celery, chopped
  • 2 TBSP (32 gr) Pepperoncini, drained and chopped
  • ½ TBSP Pepperoncini brine
  • Tomatoes spinach, or lettuce to garnish

Instructions

  1. Break tuna apart with a fork.
  2. Drain Pepperoncini on a paper towel and chop.
  3. Add all ingredients to the tuna and blend with a fork until incorporated.
  4. Place on bread type of your choice and garnish with more Pepperoncini, tomatoes spinach or lettuce.
