Malibu Coconut Rum really is a vacation in a glass, drifting back to tropical destinations and hot days. They are fruity and refreshing. We like two versions, a highball with Cranberry Juice and the old fashioned or lowball with Grenadine. Just add fruit juice/s and the rum!
Malibu Sunset
The "Sunset" starts on either on the top or bottom of the glass!
Ingredients
Highball Malibu Sunset
- 1 oz (2 TBSP) Malibu Coconut Rum 5.5 CHO
- 2 oz (1/4 cup) orange juice (27 CHO/Cup) 6.75 CHO
- 1 oz (2 TBSP) Ocean’s Diet Cranberry juice 0 CHO
- Orange slice to garnish and fruit if desired
TOTAL CHO/DRINK 12.25 CHO
Old Fashioned Malibu Sunset
- 1 oz. (2 TBSP) Malibu Coconut Rum 5.5 CHO
- 1 oz. (2 TBSP) Tropicana Orange Juice (27 CHO/CUP) 3.37 CHO
- 1 oz. (2 TBSP) Dole’s Pineapple Juice (33 CHO/CUP) 4.12 CHO
- 1 tsp. Rose’s Grenadine (10 CHO/TBSP) 3.3 CHO
- Orange slice to garnish and fruit if desired
TOTAL CHO/DRINK 16.29 CHO
Instructions
Place ice in desired glass and add rum along with orange and/or pineapple juice.
- Top the highball with Cranberry juice and serve.
- If making the Old Fashioned, slowly drizzle the Grenadine down the side of the glass and serve.
Garnish with an orange slice and fruit if desired.
