Frind Estate Winery

Take a drive down Boucherie Road in West Kelowna and turn towards Okanagan Lake to find this jewel! Frind Estate Winery.

Frind Estate Winery

What a surprise…………. North America’s first beachfront winery situated on the historic Bennett (late Premier of British Columbia). Markus Frind bought the property in 2017 and has since created a place we want to return to with our own family over and over again.

Upon entering, you walk into a domed high ceiling tasting room, plenty big for a lot of people. There are 12 bottles of wine to choose from for various tastings.

The beauty of this property and how welcoming it is, families and little kids skip by, dogs (on leashes) trot their stuff.

Park your car or arrive by boat and dock on the water. It looked big enough for about 6 boats, all first come, first served.

And that is the trend for Annie’s Beach Club Patio (unless and wine club member) – first come, first served.

Or continue out to the grassy areas and find a picnic table. Then go to the stand in line order bar that has the same menu as Annie’s Beach Club Patio and order your meal. And a bottle of wine. Most people do……… and take what you have left home with you. The price of a bottle of wine is close to the price of 2 glasses. Of the Rose at least, that’s what we choose for a late lunch. It was delicious, and just as enjoyable the next day.

The restaurant serving sizes are generous. The Gluten Free pizza was delicious as was the Caesar Salad. Next time we are going to try the Charcuterie. And there will be a next time. There is an extensive menu and lots to choose from.

If you want to eat in air conditioning, again same Patio menu, there is a small coffee bar to enjoy.

Little children dip their toes in the water on the tiny beach, people wander around, it is so much fun……. relaxing and the view is hard to beat.

Stay as long as you want in the picnic areas, get up and stretch your legs or sip wine and enjoy a beautiful day.
