Campari Spritz

The recipe to this Italian aperitif (Campari) remains a secret after more than 150 years. It is bitter as compared to sweet and an essential in a Negroni or a spritz.

Crisp and not too sweet on a hot summer day! A dry rose differs in CHO to a sweeter rose. We use 1 CHO/oz in this recipe, however, if you use a sweet rose, adjust CHO to 1.5 – 2 CHO/oz.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz (4 TBSP) Campari (8 CHO/oz) 16 CHO
  • 3 oz. (6 TBSP) Dry Rose (1 CHO/oz) 3 CHO
  • 1 oz (2 TBSP) La Croix sugar free lemon or orange soda 0 CHO
  • 1 thin slice lemon lime or orange wheel 0 CHO

TOAL CHO 19 CHO/DRINK

    Instructions

    1. Fill a martini shaker half full of ice. Add Campari and rose, shake and strain into a glass. Add soda, stir and garnish with lemon or orange wheel.
