Lemon Yogurt Sauce

This sauce is much more delicate than Tzatziki and takes a fraction of the time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (234 gr) plain yogurt (6 CHO/3/4 cup/175 gr) 8 CHO
  • 1 TBSP fresh lemon juice 0 CHO
  • ¼ tsp. garlic minced 0 CHO
  • ¼ tsp. salt 0 CHO

TOTAL CHO 8 CHO

  • TOTAL WEIGHT 245 GRAMS
  • 8 CHO DIVIDED BY 245 GRAMS = .032 CHO/GRAM
  • 1 TBSP = 15 GRAMS (.032 CHO x 15 GRAMS) .48 CHO/TBSP
  • ¼ CUP =4 TBSP (.48 CHO x 4) 1.92 CHO/1/4 CUP
  • ¼ CUP = 60 GRAMS

Instructions

  1. Simple, simple, simple! Make earlier in the day and refrigerate or make it just before serving.
  2. Mix all sauce ingredients and serve whenever you want.
  3. If you are making Gremolata, sprinkle a bit on the sauce if desired.
