Grilled Asparagus and Broccolini

This is a bright fresh side dish, grilled for mere minutes. Broccolini is similar to broccoli, with long, thin stems. It’s similar in flavor to broccoli, but a little milder and sweeter.

Ingredients

  • 300 gr Asparagus spears trimmed 6 CHO
  • 150 gr Broccolini spears trimmed 6 CHO
  • 2 -3 TBSP olive oil 0 CHO
  • Salt and Pepper 0 CHO

  • TOTAL WEIGHT 450 GRAMS
  • 12 CHO DIVIDED BY 450 GRAMS = .026 CHO/GRAM
  • CHO WILL DEPEND ON SERVING SIZE

Instructions

  1. Pre heat grill to 400.
  2. Wash and trim asparagus and broccolini. In a large dish toss the vegetables with olive oil and generously salt and pepper. Place asparagus on a grill grate and grill for approximately 3 - 5 minutes, tossing vegetables on occasion. Grill time will depend on how el dente you like them.
