There are as many versions of Chili as there are cooks and families. Use Pacific Creamy Tomato Soup or Tomato Sauce, both are Gluten Free. The CHO changes marginally using Tomato Sauce. Add the spice, more or less as you wish; and/or serve with hot sauces on the side.
This is our very child friendly version, cayenne is optional.
Pre heat oven to 325.
Heat olive oil in Dutch Oven. Add hamburger, salt, pepper and chopped onion. Scramble fry hamburger until cooked through. Drain in a sieve and return hamburger/onion to the Dutch Oven.
Add all remaining ingredients to the Dutch Oven, stir, cover and cook for 1 hr and 20 minutes.
