This recipe is from the RecipeGirl (recipegirl.com) found on Pinterest. It’s so good, no changes were needed. Use the cherries in an Old Fashioned or Manhattan and the syrup over ice cream. This is half the original recipe. I make it a couple of times during cherry season.
Pit cherries and place in sterilized half pint-sized mason jars (about 3). Pour cooled bourbon over cherries. Completely cover. Tighten the lids and store in the refrigerator for several months. The original recipe states can be stored for up to a year.
